Description
Tifway 419 is a premium hybrid Bermuda grass that has gained popularity for its use on professional sports fields and golf courses, but it’s also an excellent choice for residential lawns in Phoenix. This grass boasts a dark green, medium-fine texture that gives lawns a polished, manicured look. Its extraordinary durability allows it to withstand heavy foot traffic, making it perfect for active households. Tifway 419 has very good drought tolerance, requiring less water than many other grass types, which is crucial in Phoenix’s water-scarce environment. However, like most Bermuda grasses, it has poor shade tolerance and requires at least 8 hours of direct sunlight daily. Mowing Tifway 419 at heights between 1/2″ and 1 1/2″ with a reel or sharp rotary mower helps maintain its fine texture and lush appearance. Its ability to recover quickly from damage and its heat tolerance make Tifway 419 a reliable and attractive option for Phoenix lawns.

Turf grass is a perishable product. It does have to be Installed the same day it is delivered. If the turf grass goes bad you will still be charged for it. The turf grass will have to be reordered & you will be responsible for this payment too.

It was an easy apply to the soil surface and started regrowth quickly. None of grass was dead and all is green, soft and regrowing well. Looks very nice. Even after 1 week, we were able to move some to an adjusted area.

I am very pleased with my Sod and the delivery. The delivery was scheduled between 11:00 and 3:00PM. I’m glad they delivered it around 7:15AM because early delivery gave me a good head start to finish the job before end of the day. The Sod is taking nicely and beginning to green up and grow. A few layers turned brown the next day but almost a week later is starting to look green as the rest with daily watering. Backyard looks great now.

I ordered 800 sq/ft of the Tifway 419 sod and the entire process was great! The sod was in great shape and almost a week later it is starting to come out of dormancy and green up due to it being early April. I was extremely surprised that the turf was delivered the day before it was scheduled which allowed me to get started nice and early the next morning. There was 3 of us and we were able to get it installed in only 3.5 hours. Very happy with the quality and the experience with Sod Delivery LC!!
